Accommodations
There are national and international hotels in the main cities ranging from 3-5 stars.  Certain hotels specialize in environmental and eco-tourism and there are also resorts.  Seafood in the region is famous for the way it blends African, Spanish, indigenous and even Lebanese origins.
Airports
Cartagena (Rafael Núñez International Airport), Barranquilla (Eduardo Cortissoz International Airport only 7 kilometers from the city center), Santa Marta (Simón Bolívar National Airport), San Andres (Gustavo Rojas Pinilla International Airport in the city) and Providencia (El Embrujo).  The above cities all have daily flights to and from Bogotá except for the airport in Providencia which is served by the San Andres airport.

National flights serve airports in other cities in the region.

Roads
The different parts of the Caribbean region are linked by major highways with connections to smaller towns via country roads and village paths.

Taxis, car rentals and others
The region’s main cities have taxi companies providing hourly, daily or single-ride service and national and international rent-a-car agencies.  Travel between small towns can be done on buses and equipment can be hauled in trucks.
Ports
Cartagena and Barranquilla are international ports.  International cruise lines such as Royal Caribbean International, Aida Cruises, and Avia Caribbean all sail to Cartagena and private sailboats from around the world cruise the region.  Private boats and yachts cruise San Andres and Providencia but public maritime passenger transportation is available from other Colombian ports.

Health
Hospitals and clinics in the principal cities offer excellent services.  Good general and emergency care is available at hospitals and clinics in smaller cities and health centers exist in every village.
Infrastructure for production
There is a regional television channel called Caribe Telecaribe and two universities with Film and Television and Communications departments.  Trained personnel with experience on large-scale productions filmed in the past few years are also available.
